Monthly Employee Program, A Jumpstart to NFRDI Employee's Work-Life Balance
In celebration of the “Season of Hearts” and NFRDI’s 16th Year in Service, a line-up of simple and yet noteworthy activities were spearheaded by the HRMU for the month of February. Commencing with the 16th Anniversary mass and program, February 1, 2017 became more exciting with the introduction of “Say it with a Heart,” a venue to express and write positive things for someone through the message board which lasted until February 28, 2017. Moreover, Valentine’s Day was spent this year with the not so usual day for the NFRDI employees since despite the fact that people in the institute is too busy with their work, they had the chance to have a photo with their preferred hash tag on the Feb-Ibig Photo booth, produced via hand labor of the HRMU staff. Also, a film showing featuring one of the most romantic movies of all time, “The Notebook” was shown with free popcorn and juice for moviegoers.
Culminating the February Employee Program is the Blood Letting activity entitled “Shed A Blood of Love this Feb-Ibig” in cooperation with the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) held last February 27, 2017 at the NFRDI Conference Room. A total of 35 donors willingly shed a blood of love on this occasion. Each volunteer donated 450 cc of blood and the blood collected will be used by two (2) kids with cancer. The volunteer donors on the other hand will be given a Donor’s Membership Card where the holder will be given a priority when they need blood.
Thus, this Monthly Employee Program is not just a chance for NFRDI Employees to have a break and have a little fun while working but also an opportunity to help and become a social responsible citizen.
